Title: Regions with least surface winds all-year ( Wind-friendly ? )

Thanks for the link below on wind-mapping.
On a related topic, which would be the best places to fly an ultra-light in the continental US ( lower 48 states )  in terms of winds ?
Any ideas on this ?

What's your go to site for weather info?
Here are my favorite:
Hourly surface wind forecast  http://www.windmapper.com/ (http://www.windmapper.com/) Enter Location, Click Get Forcast
Hourly wind forecast throughout layers http://www.ryancarlton.com/ (http://www.ryancarlton.com/)  Enter Location, set unit of measure, then Update Page Button

This wind map (http://hint.fm/wind/index.html) is fun to look at but note the disclaimer: "Please do not use the map or its data to fly a plane, sail a boat, or fight wildfires :-)"

The speed shown is in meters / sec ( 1 mt/sec = 2.24 mph )
