Has anyone found better throttle quadrant?? I don't like the way it sticks out at the entrance to the cabin area when mounted at station #2. My two into one cable that came with the cassler 45 dual carb set-up is too short to locate anywhere else. I Tried to find an extender in the ACS catalog but nothing there. They had some push pull type throttle set-ups for GA planes but the prices were just under $100 ...or way over. I know you scroungers out there have found a better solution!! Below are some shots of Les Homan's set-up. Could the administrator rotate these pictures for me. They would be easer to view. The throttle handle still sticks out into the access door and could be bumped while getting into the cabin.

I like Les's setup... He turned it on its side to tuck it out of the way.

I have gotten in hundreds of times and have never bumped the throttle quadrant. Have the same set up on the yellow one and on B-95. With no problems. It is made of .125 alum sheet with delrin washers. If enough interest will put together a set of plans when i get time

One of Les's videos showing it in action... His other videos show him getting in and out... Just click on his user name and hit "show posts".

I would really appreciate a set of plans Les.

No reply from Les so I made a hybrid throttle quadrant using some of Les' and some of Leonard's ideas. Made the handle from 1/8 inch 6061 alum. and the bracket from .050 5052 alum. because it bends better. The cable clip is 4130 steel using Leonards sketch. Added some lightening holes, nylon washers and 1/4 inch fuel line as a compression spring for friction. It will mount horizontally under the instrument panel on the cabin cross member at station #2. I needed to safety wire the wing nut and bolt that the handle pivots on because it will loosen as the handle is actuated. The bolt head is drilled and the thread end is also drilled for safety wiring.
