Any new information? I am going to be pretty busy for the next couple weeks with the Reno Air Races and will have limited time for Internet stuff. So just thought I'd post to see if anything new.
By the way, if anyone is coming to the races feel free to stop by the EAA chapter 1361 hanger and say hi. I will be driving one of the tractors for the parking trams in the afternoons, but should be around the hanger around 11:00 AM. The hanger where we take our breaks is in the pits and we usually have our chapter 1361 banner hanging on it.

Fantastic. Rio Vista's EAA Chapter 1474 is the sponsor for the event on the 24th. Friday night the 23rd will be a pay-as-you-go meal at The Point or the Trilogy Golf club. That will start at 7 PM. Coffee and donuts at 8 AM, Saturday the 24th. Burt and Les should have their Legal Eagles in the air by then. Seminars will start at 9 AM. Les can add details of the seminars with times and subject matter. Lunch will be provided at the Rio Vista airport thanks to EAA Chapter 1474. Hope to make it to Reno and will be sure and stop by. Thanks. Any last minute information or directions, call 707-628-9987. PS As the group may know, we do have a Double Eagle builder in the crowd who would be more than willing to answer any DE questions. Certain he will have his build on display. PSS If your west of the Missssippi and have Legal Eagle interests, you do not want to miss this event.

Tuning up the wife's car so I can fly it down on Friday. Should arrive at about 3-4ish in the afternoon. So if anyone sees a white 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Nevada plates that say "copilot" driving around aimlessly looking lost, that would be me. Getting excited.

Fantastic. Rex and Burt dialed in Burt's LE today. I think Burt is still out there flying. He must have put 5 hours in the air today. We also called Czechoslovakia asking about the Verner 3VW motor. More on that Saturday. Early arrivals Friday head to The Point restaurant in Rio Vista for a 6 PM pay-as-you get together. Address for The Point is 120 Marina Drive, Rio Vista, Ca 94571. Weather is perfect for all weekend in the 80's. Airport gate codes or anything call 707-628-9987.

Sounds great, see you there.

Had a great time at the gathering, thanks to all that made this happen. Learned a lot of good stuff and received a bunch of inspiration. I shot a bit of shaky/blurry cam footage and made a little video of some of the flying that Burt and Les did. I would have put it up sooner but I came down with a nasty stomach bug that put me out of commission yesterday. Anyway, thanks again for the hospitality and here is a little 17-18 minute Video.

That was great! That land is awfully FLAT! I was surprised to see that water.....
Les, what's that gauge that showed -0- next to the CHT/EGT?
Your cell phone work? What do you use it for??
Which one of you was the faster??
-
We were just trying to stay in the air and in close proximity. It was rough in the wind and chop. I use my iphone for the foreflight program and for viewing what camera is seeing to try and get better video. The gauge reading 0 is the voltmeter in off position. It dropped 1/2 volts in 3.5 hrs of flying

Looks like a great weekend, fine weather, nice turn-out. Makes me think I want to repair LEU Treehugger and get it going again!
