Title: Cabin Eagle rear wing spar location versus fuse carry through dimensions
Post by: pramer on July 31, 2016, 09:43:28 AM
Hi I just received #19 of the cabin eagle plans.  I am in Winnipeg Canada.  I have been going through the plans in detail and came across a mistake I think.  On page 7 the top fuse carry throughs are dimensioned @ 29.8" on center.  On the rib drawing the spars are ~28.75 apart on center.  I beleive the rib drawing is wrong.  Can any one confirm.  I plan to build my wing first as I dont have a garage yet.
Thanks
Phil

Phil,
I had the same issue. Having already built the wings I modifed cabin top to fit. Also page 32 the plans shows the bottom of the tank at 28 1/2 inches long. If the cabin top was at 29.8 the tank would not sit on the top tubes.
Oh and... The template for the wing ribs pretty much dictates where the spars go, leaving moving the fuselage the only place you can make a change...

This was just my interpretation, YMMV.
