Ok, Who's goin?
I'll be there starting Friday 21st thru Sunday 30th.
-
Your a Beast Frank - Will not make it this year - by the time I got through the week last year, Sunday showing up felt so good, I didn't even complain about airline peanuts :-) Wore me out, but, I really had a good time and I found a nice prop - still playing with that.... Have fun and much success.
-
I will be there with ORV from 19th to saturday the 19th.
-
My wife and I rented a camp sight for the week. We will stay until we've seen enough then head home. Some suggest a week might not be enough so we shall see.
Looking forward to it!

Frank,
I will be there the whole week with your 54-22 hanging on my XL. The fit problem I called you on worked out great just like you told me. I took a 2 " hole saw and turned by hand a couple revs and the tiny oblong condition went away and it went on fine. By the way, since I balanced / tuned my motor, I picked up another 150 RPM static on my 37 HP Mosler... now at over 3200 on the ground...LOTS of POWER!!
I have to fly over the week of the 17-20 because I have a wedding that weekend,
back home Sunday and to EAA that night. So i have to fly over tie down someplace and go home to the wedding and back again...Not too happy about it, hope it does not blow away when I am gone!!
I am only 50 miles away but still a big pain.....If the weather gets me I will have to fly over the week of the show I guess..
In any case, I will see you there.

I Heard Les H. ,Scott J, and I plan to fly LE's in. Anybody else coming in with LE or Double Eagles?
I assume we are setting up along the same fence we have been at the last few years?
I plan on coming in Thursday or Friday of next week depending on weather.

I understand there may be at least 4 eagles there this year
-
Finally got the planets in alignment and will be attending this as my first Airventure :emoji_u1f601: :emoji_u1f601: :emoji_u1f601: .
On the road there now... got the call that Sleepy Hollow has a spot for me. Planning on making a full week of it. Pretty sure a week will not be enough to see it all.
-
I arrived today and set up camp
Looking forward to seeing everyone

Is there enough room in each plot to park a car, or must cars be parked somewhere else?
Must learn the rules... this will be my first time at Camp Scholler and I don't want to be "THAT GUY"
-
Camp Sholler is not plotted out, Nor are there any roving enforcers. You are allowed 20 feet by 30 feet regardless of tent or RV. you should be able to make that work.
Just be considerate of others, most will be, of course, there are always a few.
a big place -a bicycle, mini bike moped ect a good idea.
there are school buses, learn the route through the camp, will save your legs for better things Also learn the transportation system in the airport.
I will not be there this year, missing it badly.
You will soon know why. It's just an incredible week.
Have a good time

I should have added
It can get crowded. You may get encroached upon.
Depending on when you show up you may be the encroacher. It works out

SO, nice to see Les' ORV on the line
...

I can't be there again this year, but am watching AirVenture South Webcam!

Hi all
I was at Airventure on Monday. Plenty of changes this year. And plenty of new planes.
I'll be back a few more times. Hope to see more Eagles there. Les was set up in the usual spot.
Also, if anyone else goes, check out the rotary engine display in the ultralight area. It is ARIEH. So far he hasn't run one, but it should be interesting to watch.
I did see and talk to a few people interested in building an Eagle over by Les plane. I also referred them to the forum for all their questions.

I sure wish the Webcam would not stop with only HALF of the eagles on the screen.... How many Eagles are there? 3??
-
Just Les, I backed out due to fuel tank feed Issues and Scott had some fuel leak problems.. Of the 25 hours I have on my XL since I finished last summer only my last five have been somewhat trouble free. Les helped me thru a fuel feed issue today, , my carb tuning issues are over finally. I will be ready next year...

i’m thinking it was good that Les H was there or it might have been a bit sparse on the eagle level.
-
Yes, we all appreciate what you guys did and Les' videos were supreme! I hope you left a brown, dead grass "airplane" on the turf!!!
