Title: LE-XL Fuselage Build Table
Post by: canterbury on July 17, 2017, 12:13:47 PM
I need some ideas on what makes the best table for building the XL fuselage. I know in the plans it mentions using 1 and 1/2 sheets of plywood. Getting ready to start G-34.

a table with many variations that has been built 1000’s of times, is  http://www.eaa1000.av.org/technicl/worktabl/tablefig.htm

I do think you will/would like a lip all around the table of at least an inch.  This (the lip) is used for clamping to the top.
and certainly leveling legs to avoid the teeter-toter effect (also can be used to make dead level if that is a desire)   I personally make 3 legged tables for this simple reason. But  you still need adjustment to get to “level”

Some like the table exactly as wide the frame, some like it wider.   Both ways work.    With a little planning (above) you won’t have hardly any scrap.

Best of success.
