How much do you think the RPMs will change max static vs. max RPM in flight?

It depends on the prop and engine combo. Drag reduction has an effect also, on faster planes!
With a 37 HP half 200-300 rpm difference from Static to WOT.

Thanks Frank. Just trying to get a feel if Im gonna need my pitch reduced. New 45hp engine and get 2950 WOT on the ground.
Only about 45 min run time so far, maybe the rings will seal a little better with more time? Diff leak test is 76/80 and 77/80.
Valve lash set a lil loose currently, perhaps tightening that up will help.
Hmm... I just looked at the Great Plains limitations and I might be spot on. I think Cassler recommends higher RPMs but I'll have to take another look at that tomorrow.
