Can you use 2.9 oz. fabric on the wings of these birds?
Reason I ask is I already have a roll of uncertified 2.9oz.
Not worried about weight of aircraft cause of fabric weight,
will the wings warp when you shrink the fabric?
thanks Guys

Control the temperature of your iron. Buy a thermostat from Aircraft Spruce. Start at 175 deg. and then 200. If that feels tight stop. I believe the recommended temp. for most GA aircraft is 250 deg. but don't go that high.
Evan the 1.7 oz. will warp your wing if you don't control the heat. You may not see much shrinkage at 175.

Here is a UTUBE video on shrinking fabric skip ahead to 7 minutes and 30 seconds on the video:

I never went to 250 deg but he starts out at 250. The metal tubes for GA planes are larger in diameter and wall thickness.
