I am about to attach the control arm to the aileron but have a few questions.
- Does the control arm get glued to the inside of the aileron hinge plate. I worry that it would fill the gap between the wing and the aileron if it were attached to the outside.
- The drawing shows 2 screw holes where it attaches. Is that for backup should the glue joint give way?

the bolts hold the aileron arm in place. I located mine on outside of aileron but they could be mounted on inside. Located mine on outside so it could be covered without having to go around arm. nuts on inside of aileron are located and locked in place so i can put bolts on from outside. I have about 1/4" clearance from end of aileron to wing on both ends of aileron.

Thanks Les.
Can I ask how you "locked the nuts in place". Are they nut plates that are secured to the end cap?

I used nut plates.

I also used small nutplates on the inside of the 1/4 ply aileron end. I used #3-48 machine screws to retain the nutplates.
