Title: Tail Bracing Wire Size
Post by: Kamcoman77 on March 12, 2019, 09:56:29 PM
On Page 3 of the written instructions (XL H-51) it states 3/32" cable for tail bracing, but on page 3 of the Plans, the diagram shows 1/16" cable bracing. The Materials List does not show any 1/16" cable. Is everybody using 1/16" cable for the tail, or are some of you using 3/32"? I realize that 3/32" is required for aileron, elevator, and rudder control cables.

I have used 1/16" for the tail bracing.

I followed page 3 and made my brace cables with 1/16" SS cable from ACS. Anyone with a flying LEXL use 1/16" cable and found it insufficient?

Thanks everybody. I've ordered my 1/16" cable, thimbles, and Nicopress. Using 3/32" for the controls.
