Title: Any recommendation for where to send a vw to get it checked

I bought about 3 years ago a 0 time Hapi 1835 vw engine that was overhauled by the eaa ( I was told, didn't see paper work) for my double eagle project and would like to have it checked before I strap it on.
Any shop recommendation? Thanks.
