Title: Throttle Considerations
Post by: leshoman on January 21, 2014, 09:19:53 AM
This has been posted before but I will repeat it:
If using a cable type throttle set up:
Install a stop on you throttle lever so it stops just before the cable pulls tight and you eventually pull the end off throttle cable. I thought mine was that way, BUT, during wood-dyno testing pulled the end off throttle cable. It would have been interesting if i had been flying and away from the airport.  Engine ran fine at idle and if a pair of pliers or vise grips were in my pocket I could have gotten home.
