Has anybody built or heard of a legal eagle on floats? I feel like it would allow for more freedom for taking off and landing sites. Is this possible and if so does anyone have plans or ideas?

I haven't heard of one on floats, not that it can't be done. There is one on skis however, the Silver Slug. Built by Scott Johnson in Wisconsin.
More pics of the skis in the Gallery: S Johnson LEU-02-27 (https://www.eaglersnest.com/forum/index.php?action=gallery;cat=117)

I had the same question, floats on the xl??

I'm fairly certain if someone had done it we would have pics/videos of it. If the friggen Woodhopper can do it with a Rotax 277 the XL can...
You can be the first..!

http://www.myfloats.com/ Zenair aluminum floats and Full Lotus inflatables. The inflatables sometimes come up for sale on Barnstormers. Muk-Tuk wooden float kits seem to be no more.
