I am trying to find out the actual takeoff and landing roll for the Double eagle. Single pilot, 260lbs at 1200' field elevation. Thanks

Double Eagle Stubby will break ground at about 400 ft, grass strip, 230 lb pilot, 14 gal fuel, 500 ft elevation, warm weather, 2180 CC engine, Performance Prop. It will do better if cold air temps. DE Stubby is a heavy example of the DE type. Climb-out is usually around 500 fpm, but can be around 700 fpm on a cold day.
Landing roll is maybe 200 - 300 ft.
Our field is 1700 ft long, with wires at one end, trees at the other.

Thanks for the info. I would like to be able to keep an airplane at the house. Im on top of a hill with a maximum for 450' of ground roll distance. one way in and one way out. Trees on one end. National Forest so no cutting those. But the other end opens strait out into the air. When you leave the hill top your above all other obstacles (trees, power lines) at the base of the hill. Im just trying to decide if its doable or a pipe dream. Im sure with practice something like a CH701 could get in and out on calm cool days. But i really like the Double and XL Eagles. Thanks
