Hi fellow builders,
let me introduce myself, newbie Ray Brock here. I have Leonard's XL plans and Scott's supplemental drawings. I'm busy building ribs right now. I find a great deal of information in this group very helpful. I look forward toward learning these skills. Thanks
Ray

Welcome to the Forum!. I've learned a lot here and hope I've helped some others, too. There is a ton of information in old posts, so be sure to use the Search function and browse them. Recently took my XL tack welded fuselage off the build table and started covering the empennage.

I have learned over the years, that stopping at tack welding, to come back to later, can often have minute bits of rust develop at the clusters, if tig welding, this can be a problem (contamination) and if gas welding, a bit less. If you don't expect any rust EVER then this is not an issue.
