Hi Guys.
On the plans on page 1, there are 2 measurements for station 2: 141 in and 142 in from tail post.
Leonard says one is for station 2 and the other is for "joint". Not sure what he means by "joint".
What is the real location of station 2: 141 in or 142 in from tail post?
Thanks!

Just as the drawing shows, the bottom of Station 2 is 141" from tailpost and the top joint where the instrument panel lower crossbar is located is 142" from the tailpost. That means that the Station 2 verticals are not quite 90° to the bottom longeron.

Thanks! :)

Does anyone know why the 'joint' isn't directly over station #2. it seems to me it would make welding the landing gear brackets a bit easier. Being your basic smarty-pants-know-it-all-paper-tiger-wannabe, I like when things are "a big easier".

The two measurements ARE NOT to the same cluster, as the original question asked or eluded to.. And here above (the quoted statement), is correct, but perhaps better said, the 142" measurement is to the center point of of the cluster ABOVE station 2, and the 141" measurement as mentioned, is to station 2 center point.
Remember all good plans for fuselage building have call outs for CENTER points of clusters, no matter what size of tubing. You will drive yourself nuts trying to calculate back side/front side of tubing measurements for all the variations of tubing sizes (not so much on eagle series, but most others)
You kind a got to look at tubing layouts with a 3-D view in your mind, this above is a good example, visualize where the cluster will be above station 2
Best of success.
