Title: Spar web plywood
Post by: Ray on February 16, 2021, 10:56:50 AM
Ray here, getting setup to cut spar webs. The plywood I have is three ply 1/8 poplar 8' long with aircraft stamp. I want to scarf the joints but with three plies not sure how strong the joint will turn out.
I noticed in the forum where others used plywood with 5 plies. The question here will three plies be strong enough?
Thanks
Ray

Hi, Ray.. a properly done scarf joint is as strong as the original material.
