Title: Wing mount brackets/ bolts
Post by: Shay King on August 06, 2024, 07:15:33 AM
I’ll be bolting on my wing mount brackets shortly. Is it correct to put epoxy under the brackets and into the bolt holes? I think I read that somewhere on the forum but can’t find reference to it again. I’m thinking that it would be impossible to remove those brackets and bolts in the future if I ever needed to.

Thanks for the reply Chuck.
That’s the way I feel about it too.
I think it was in Leonard’s video, he epoxied and bolted the brackets to the spar.

You might want to put epoxy into the bolt holes with a Q-tip or something similar. Let it cure and re-drill the bolt holes. This helps seal the end grain of the filler block.
