Title: Lap strap brackets
Post by: Shay King on July 02, 2025, 07:04:48 AM
Hi guys, can anyone share a photo or a link to a photo of the seat belt lap strap mounting brackets.
Should they be in front of station 3 upright, or behind it?
Thanks.

Here are two versions.

Thanks again Keith,
The top photo looks neat and strong. That’s the way I’m going at the moment. I’m just wondering if the angle of the lap strap will be too close to vertical though.

Ask Chuck (Chuck's XL in Indiana). The photo is cropped from one of his shots.

I did mine from behind the vertical tube at station 3, just a small triangle just big enough for a 1/2" bolt... I thought the angle of the belt to my waist would be more comfortable and probably more inline with FAA recommendations...

That looks like a good option too.
