While I have been mixing my T-88 carefully as 1:1 in little mixing cups I'm wondering if I'm straining at gnats. I tend to do that. When I need just a small bit of T-88 I'll sometimes eyeball two little dabs of the the same size, parts A & B.
How much lee way is available in measuring? Does T-88 get fussy if I don't get it exactly 50:50 mix?

I used the bottom of a coke can to mix my batches in... don't sweat the exactness, official answer is 50,50 of course - i never weighed mine, the small cup on the bottom of the can made it easy to see the amount of each pretty easy... btw, looking good, keep up the work... you may even beat me in the air... lol

Thanks Pappy. That's what I thougtht, and I have been using your pop can trick too. Just wanted to be sure. I do have some little graduated medicine cups but they make a larger dose.

I have been mixing epoxy for a long time so i pride myself in mixing proper ratios by eye lol. How i do it is make a small circle as i squeeze it out and count each circle. The hardener is a little thicker so i have to count slower for it. One can quality check themself as the bottles get lower. If one is a tad lower than the other than you know what you have to do to adjust. I have it down to when the bottles are almost gone there is "near" equal amounts of epoxy and hardener left. I find t-88 to be the best epoxy i have worked with as far as good working time and not running places you dont want, compared to cheaper hobby grade epoxies i have worked with over the years. I use as small mixing cup, disposable shot glasses from the dollar store work great. I have always used pop cycle sticks but lately i have been using "corn dog" sticks. you can buy them bulk for cheap on the big online store and i find them a little better for mixing and working with. And no i wouldn't be to worried about getting the ratio perfect. But as perfect as you can and i understand the concern with small amounts. Mixing larger amounts can result in closer tolerances that is why i usually mix more than just a few lines or "circles" in my case.

Like Isotope, I've been mixing epoxy or polyester resins for a long time (1958). T-88 is the most forgiving epoxy I have ever used. Anything more than about 1/2 ounce, I mix by weight on a gram scale. For small batches, I keep T-88 in two little syringes, tightly capped. It's very easy to dole out 1 or 2 cc, or a lot more. Amazon sells this type of syringe. It is called a catheter tip syringe (no needle).

As far as I know, in large batches it needs to be weighed.
