Has there been an engine of Chip Erwin found its way into the airframe of a double Eagle?

I hadn't heard of that engine. I see it's all electronic, has reduction drive, etc. It seems like a rather complicated engine for a very simple airplane. It doesn't weigh much less than the more powerful Jabiru 2200. The low price is appealing, of course.
