Title: XL Dual Mikuni 28's plumbing fuel line size
Post by: Bob Wood on May 09, 2014, 07:35:20 AM
Into the plumbing here and see 1/4" ID from tank down to Y fitting split.  I look at the fuel inlets on the Mikuni's BIG. Not 1/4")5/16 at least) do I heat up the tube apply some lube and get it to fit it , or go larger hose for the post Y to the carbs with reduction barbs???.  All the y and t fitting I see are for 1/4" ID???

Thanks for help!
Bob

Bob:
To keep the weight down on the UL type fuel line I use a two close turn  wrap of safety wire as a clamp - it's a Burt Rutan method from the Varieze dayz's... Here's a Reducer source - there might be a Reducing " T "  out there somewhere too: http://www.amazon.com/Reducer-Splicer-Fitting-Adapter-Coupler/dp/B00CIX3TSW (http://www.amazon.com/Reducer-Splicer-Fitting-Adapter-Coupler/dp/B00CIX3TSW)

Ok thanks Steve, looks like a 3/8 to 1/4 reduction.

Thanks,
Bob
