go ahead and hijack...the kid wins over the old fart and the bridge every time.
good vid, great subject  Weasel...

me n Rockie may come over there tomorrow if yall are gonna be hangin around the hangar. thats a long haul in a zenith 701. did i tell you about several years ago i flew the thing to OSH? left the Red Barn bout an hour before daylight in a raging thunderstorm...driving rain, high winds, big lighting bolts. that was bad enough but Engleman left right behind me in his Legal Eagle. flew right thru the line broke out down around Madison. said he near drowned and froze. i put 11.2 on the Hobbs that day. landed just before dark back here at the strip...lotsa wx and wind probs. + a 701 is pokey...

you ought think twice before you take that little gal up in these traps of yours. how many times you crashed lately? 3 or 4, right? yeah...

Weasel, you ought not let your little girl see that stuff from Spencer, at least not until she reaches the age of reason.

Spencer, always entertaining.  Hope some day you can show us a landing on a mountain top, but, from the looks of things down there, might not happen.

Engleman told several of us the story of his trip to Osh and the storm on the way back.  Hilarious.  Then he pulled out his map, which was a strip about six inches wide and three feet long, made of a couple sectionals cut up and taped together.  That might help explain why he chose to confront the weather head on - did not have a map wide enough to try to go around it.

Joe,

Looking good my friend. The engine sounds great. Your new gear does a nice job.

It sure took the bridge deck arrival without flinging the plane back in the air - just about as perfect as you can make something...

It stayed "arrived" on the other side of the bridge...  Some pilot talent there too.

Thanks Joe, for signing that blank check made out to Uncle Sam and to all our Vets.
