Title: Photo attaching Demo -these photos are in the 200kb size range (1.5 megs approx)

An attachment of 6 photos of about 1500KB (1.5 megs) total
Demo photo display
Capacity is 2000kb (2 megs) total per Post

All came through. However, some open within the post, i.e., just get larger, and others open in a new window. For example, the gathering around putt-putt opens larger within the post. On my display, it is partially cut off on the edges, and I have to use the slider way at the bottom of the pictures to see the edges. The L4 Cub picture opens in a new window, and, in turn, that window can be enlarged even more by putting the mouse arrow on the picture and left clicking. Is there a different method you used to post the various photos? Or, are these photos of a different file type? Or, some other reason? Or, maybe it is just the way my computer is handling them?

Tom: It's the kb's of data and size of the photo... The SMF framing changes as the photo data and frame goes up... I use Windows Photo Gallery for resizing tools and email packager offering 4 sizes and original size... I use the middle two email sizes but selected files that all would fall in the second to smallest kb values for the demo... Steve

Steve, that makes sense. From the examples you posted, it appears that photos under 250 kB will open in a new window, but files over 250kB will open within the post.
I personally like to see the photos open in a new window. That way, they can be further enlarged with a mouse click, put to full screen and the whole pic can be seen.
The pics that open within a post are partially obscured by the advertisement on the right and the various site features on the left, and to see the whole pic, the slider, which is located way down at the bottom of the posts, has to be moved. I suppose that the pic could be downloaded and then opened, but that takes more steps.
Just good to know about.

When will the gallery be opened up so users can make their own albums and post their pics?
