Les, you're having entirely too much fun.  :D

You gave me some ideas for ground shots...gotta take a tripod to the airport next time.

see if you can blow the tripod over on a low pass. straddle it with the gear.

Yeah, I'm thinkin' the tripod right off the end of the runway on the centerline would be a cool angle.......but not sure the mighty 1/2 VW generates enough wind to blow over the tripod...

I don't mind flying close to things that are not people, animals or buildings with possible people in them.  If things go wrong it is between me and the rock or tree, i do not want to be responsible for hurting others with my play.  I have several ideas with the cameras on the ground including better audio.

I'm with you on this one, Les.

Many years ago in our local area, some good ol' boys were out goofing around with a J-5 or something like that, the pilot was sneaking up on the guys on the ground. One very low pass hit an unanticipated downdraft and the prop hit one guy right between the shoulder blades and detached his head from his shoulders. That would be hard to explain.....and live with......

I cringe every time I see someone making a low, high-speed pass down the runway with people and planes crowded up against the runway boundary. Yeah, guess I'm just a party pooper, but remember....everybody has a camera now.....and you never know if someone watching is being unfavorably impressed with the antics.

Nerves of steel.  He was solid.  But the photographer dove for the ground.
Would I do it?  Maybe not with Spencer flying?
Y'all better keep your head on a swivel.

One of my brothers were in the LE the other day rode by this guy in the field on the John Deere.  Made a circle around him and came back again.  This time the tractor stopped in the field. He said he thought the guy was gonna step out and wave at him and about that time the farmer turned around and dropped his pants.  He said. Awww Nawww.
