Title: Another landing gear question

I have another question about landing gear.
I was originally looking at the canted gear. Mainly because I am using a smaller diameter wheel on my DE.
The canted gear shows an angle of 40 degrees for the forward leg sideways from the fuselage, while the DE plans show not an angle, but a distance of 19" out from the side of the fuselage. 
Should I maintain the 19" spacing, or maintain the 40 degree angle?

I just did a calculation on the plans gear, and it looks like the original design with the 20" wheels would be angled at about 50 degrees. I think I'll go with the 19" spacing. That puts my gear at about a 45 degree angle.
