for a 4cyl ( 70hp) do you recon 2 x 32mm carbs would work ?

Hi Scott- In the video, you write that you went to a smaller jet to lower your EGT . In the thread by Bob Wood; he has been trying like hell to get his EGT to INCREASE by using progressively smaller jets. Could someone please unconfuse me?? Rich.

I'm sm talking about the jet needle and not the main jet. They are different and are for different ranges on the throttle input. The thinner jet needle allows for more fuel which lowers the egt temp.. The smaller main jet reduces the amount of fuel increasing the egt.

OK, I understand now. Thanks for the education. I am a long way off from tuning carbs, (unfortunately). Rich

No worries mate. It's all a learning experience. I'm sure still learning anyway. My mid range was way to lean that's why I tried a thinner or leaner Jet Needle. So Far it's perfect.  I have several flights now and seem just right. This is for a single 32mm carb though and not a dual carb set up. Experimental  aviation at it finest...
