Finish you Eagle and get to flying.  Make some video and let us know what it looks like in your part of the country.

Nice Les,

You must be catching up with Joe Engleman for the most time in a Legal Eagle.  :-)

Great video, Les! That is one of the best camera angles I've seen. And you have some beautiful country to fly over.

Thanks for making me miss XL-58......   ;)

Sam
I am working hard at that, want to see you build a second eagle and take it to Oshkosh and win BIG.

Ok Les, how about a bit more info on where you were flying?  Some of the horizontal lines on those hills look very much like water lines.

Things have turned green early this year in California.  We do not usually really see green until March or April.  Usually the new green stuff has to grow tall enough to rise above the old dead stuff from last year.  But I guess we did not get much growth last year with the lack of rain.  And once it finally turns green in the spring, then it turns brown by the end of May.

I can imagine some really interesting video if you catch it at the right time where the south facing slopes are brown and the north facing slopes are still green.

I have been wondering about those lines for 30 years. They are everywhere and i have never found anybody that can explain them.  They are vert well defined and evenly spaced

That part of Calif. was under water millions of years ago and is probably sediment layers that have been pushed up due to tectonic pressures and exposed by erosion.

Great video Les! And the best camera angle yet I think. Whats not to like? You get a great view of the LE XL, and the beauty of California all in one video. You are killing me with these videos though.
