Another Youtube video. Taken at Ely Nevada, Yelland Field, Field elevation 6,239 msl, Density altitude 6,900 feet, and reaching a max. flight height of almost 11,000 feet to east of airport over mountain peaks. According to the Tim at the airport these mountains are home to several Eagles so we were flying with the Eagles in Eagle country.

If you are wondering about building a Legal Eagle XL and flying it out of a more than a sea level airstrip, build it light, use the 45 hp engine and keep you weight below 250 with cloths on and it is very doable.
