We converted our original Slick shielded mag wires to automotive RF suppression wires with automotive type rubber plug boots. I purchased a blank mag cap to use, instead of cannibalizing the original cap/wire set. This was on DE Stubby, to reduce ignition noise in the radio. It works fine.
