Tail ribs

I am just starting to get ready to build and Looking on the plans the only dimensions i can find say 1/4 " for the sides , but research says at least 2 rivets from the edge so what size are the ribs being made?

I made mine roughly 1/2" high. 1/4 was to short to me.
