42nd Annual Kentucky EAA Rough River Fly-in Sept 9, 10, 11, 2016

The fly-in is this weekend.  It is held at Rough River State Park, 2 India 3,  north of Leitchfield, west of E'town.

Friday is mostly an arrival day, but we'll have some social time in the evening, gathering at the airport at one of the rec. vehicles that are camping there.

Sat. is the main day. With reasonable weather (fingers crossed) we'll have movement from morning till late afternoon.  Little Dave's Restaurant will cater a lunch grill.  We plan to have a short poker run and a spot landing contest.  We'll be selling raffle tickets for a variety of items.  Later, after dinner, we'll have a rewards reception with a speaker and prize drawings.

Sun. is mostly departure day.

If you are in the area, come on in.  I plan to fly DE Stubby down again for the weekend.  Dan, are you going to be able to make it?

Yep...  N12558 just had his first oil change, and no sign of making metal.  The dynamic prop balance was yesterday.

Balance went from "very rough" to "very good" and back to "fair" on last reassembly.

When it was very good my balancer guy said it was bouncing between .001 and .004 and that he had never seen one at .001...  It sits at.009 right now.  So yes I plan to be there.  I have one more oil leak to tend to and put it all back together..
. :emoji_u1f601:

Edit:  It sits a .09 right now.  Which is to say the crankshaft is on a nine hundredths inches per second non concentric excursion at 2320 rpms...

If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they go...
