Oshkosh 2018 - 20th Anniversary of the Legal Eagle

This year at Oshkosh, EAA will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Legal Eagle as part of their Featured Aircraft Anniversaries and Gatherings.

I had not seen it mentioned anywhere, not even on Leonard's Facebook page recently.  I just now heard about it from one or our Radial Eagle builders.

We are planning to bring our Verner powered Legal Eagle (affectionately known to some of us as Treehugger) to Oshkosh this year.  None of us wants to face the potential variables of flying it 450 miles (each way), so we plan to put in a trailer, take it to some airport near Oshkosh, assemble it and fly it to the Ultralight strip.  We hope to have it there most of the week.

In the recent past, I've seen several other LEs there, including Scott Johnson's Silver Slug, Joe Engleman's Persnal Business, Joe Spencer's Putt-Putt, Les Homan's ORV, John Steele's LE, Leonard's Original and others.

It would be great to have a good showing of the LEs, XLs, DEs, CEs and variations there. 

So, if any of you plan to bring your airplane to Osh, let's hear about it!

And, maybe some of you sitting on the fence can be persuaded?

Hi Guys,

It's been quit a while since I've posted on the site.  Thanks to Steve K. for his efforts to get me going again. I changed computers after a computer glitch.
I will be at Aventure 2018 all week. It'd been a long battle with the Slugs carb issues but have flown it three times now will good results. Will see.

Look forward to seeing all the eaglers again. Looks to be an outstanding get together.
