Verner Exhaust Flange
« on: December 28, 2024, 08:43:45 PM »
I asked Verner what exhaust flange is on the 3VLA and he sent me a generic picture.  What I was really hoping for was a p/n so I could find one premade.  My engine came with gaskets that I have traced and could make a flange but I was hoping to find a SS premade item.  What have others done?

Also, as I'm thinking I'll have to warm up the plazma cutter (which I've not used in 8 years) I'm thinking of the SS cable tabs that go on the tail.  Has anyone had a bunch of these laser (water, wire etc) cut?

Brock, I made some, then realized there were some in the tool kit, so I have spares I'll send you if you want. Not SS though. I'm out in SoCal right now, so it will be a week or two..

I received my 3VLA last week. I do not see any exhaust flanges in the toolbox, just gaskets. Brock, did you locate them in your engine shipment? I may just end up buying some for the Honda twin.

No flanges in my kit.  Chuck, though, had ordered a set but then found a set in his box which he was kind to send me.

Actually, I made them on the mill. I probably still have the .dxf file if anyone wants to do the same or take some stock to a water jet shop.

Having the dxf file would be great as I have access to a mill and a cnc at work!
Thanks
Pete

Sorry, this site won't let me attach a .dxf file. I could email it to you if you PM me your email address.
