Door Changes
« on: March 29, 2017, 06:03:18 AM »
Another area where I have made some changes is in the door. I found it quite difficult to get in and out of the seats with the original design.
So I cut out the diagonal from station 3 to station two and replaced with a diagonal from station 3 down to the longeron at the point where the front seat rail is.
I added some additional tubing and then put a .050 chrome moly steel shear plate between stations 2 and 3. I think this will be just as strong as the original design, although it does add some weight. It makes a world of difference getting in and out.
