Final Mock-up
« on: April 22, 2019, 07:40:15 AM »
Today I moved the airplane out of the hanger for the 1st time.
This is the final mock-up stage. Pretty much everything is attached if not tightened.
The engine is hanging off a temp firewall and a motor mount originally from a different (much wider) plane.
My intention here is to get the total weight and measure all the necessary point for a W&B.
Now that I have those numbers I can calculate how long to make the proper motor mount.
Things to be changed/adjusted: The engine needs to be moved back at least 10". The propeller ground clearance needs to be increased (a lot). I'll raise the engine at least 3" and I will need to raise the overall  plane another 6". The dihedral needs to be raised.

But it is progress  :D.
