Is this a yahoo group?  If it is will it be closing down soon?   Where we going if it does close down, the legal eagle ultralight Facebook page?

I'm pretty sure this is not a Yahoo connected forum. If you click on Home it say something about getting away from Yahoo.

https://simplemachines.org/
It is a self-hosted forum system - uses PHP server-side scripting as code and MySql as the backend data source.  It is NOT connected to yahoo in any way.

Dan Doolin has moved a l l  of the Yahoo group files and photos into the Forum Downloads and Gallery... Other Moderators have found that to be a daunting task a n d it is... Dan has a backup of the HalfVw engine Yahoo Group and the Ultravair Yahoo group... Dan is currently very busy with the cross load from Yahoo to the new Groups.io Tailwind forum (Dan flys a Twind)...

Edit:
The Yahoo group message search does not seem to be working... Will have to look into it shortly.

All of the messages are here too but a little clunky.  Neo groups started Yahoo down the drain.  $50,000,000 severance to then CEO Marissa Mayer for unleashing Neo upon Yahoo groups.  When Verizon bought it out, they left it flopping in the wind --no support.  When the ad blockers took hold they pulled the plug.

Groups.io has doubled the price of a rescue to 220 $ and offer an expedited exodus for an additional 200.

The yearly fee is now 220 up from 110 as well.  If they keep getting greedy, groups will flee them also.

I don't do FB and consider them immoral for any number of reasons.  One more place your personal info is compromised as well.  I reluctantly joined only because a friend wanted me to see his Vietnam pictures.  I then found out you could not un-join.

I vaguely remember a law suit a lady won against them after her Mother died and she could not delete her Mother's account, so you may be able to get off FB now.  I don't use my real name there and keep a low profile.

Edit:
BTW, You may have noticed a couple of messages on here from Russia lately.  They have apparently stepped up their digital efforts to undermine Forums while they are at the rest of their dirty business.

There are 12 this morning awaiting removal.  Notice from the screenshots below that some of them have figured out how to get past our spammer blocking software and come through squeaky clean awaiting approval.

I remember now...  The database app we were using does not work with HTTPS.  When we went with the encrypted connection we lost the Yahoo msg search capability.  Fixing this got slid to the back burner, and alas forgotten.  Will give it another go.

A guy named Paul Smigel started a Facebook group called: 1/2 VW Aircraft Engines
As with all groups, you must request access from the administrator. It's another avenue for thoughts and ideas for this subject matter.

Some of us will not use Facebook . . ., and this forum is not broken, so don't fix it?
