Ailerons ribs vs normal ribs question.
« on: April 05, 2020, 06:07:36 PM »
In the how to video for the DE, Leonard shows 2 different kind of ribs; Normal ribs and ribs that will be cut to make the ailerons. In the plans, I see just the templates for the ribs that will be cut to make the ailerons, nothing regarding the normal ribs. Am I missing something?
Did the plans change to now simply use the same type of ribs everywhere?

I asked the same question March 27 2015 in a post tittle "Ribs". Some builders did them all the same, and some builders did the two different kind. I did two different types. Does it make a difference... I doubt it. But Leonard said to so there you go.

I heard somewhere that the air flow is already separating from the wing that far back. If that's the case, there is almost no load on the rear of the ribs, so the exact design mightn't matter.
