The "legal eagle material list" from Leonard Milholland's legal eagle package has this item:
"1 ea stainless firewall material"
Can anyone tell me what that means ?
Thanks

I got the below from the EAA website and it is what I used to build my Firewall for my Double Eagle.

https://www.eaa.org/eaa/aircraft-building/builderresources/while-youre-building/building-articles/engines-and-firewalls/firewalls

Acceptable Firewall Materials
The following materials may be used in firewalls WITHOUT BEING TESTED;

• Stainless steel sheet - .015 inch thick (.284 lb./cu. in.)

• Mild steel sheet (coated with aluminum or otherwise corrosion protected) - .018 inch thick

• Terne plate - .018 inch thick

• Steel or copper base alloy fittings

• Other materials may be used if they can pass the fireproof test.

I don't think there are any requirements (specs) for firewalls on ultralights.  I'm planning on using.020 to .025 mild steel sheet metal on my LE-XL

As far as I know there is zero requirements for Ultralights other than weight, but why not build to a standard that you know will keep you alive or at least not burnt.
