Cool article, thanks for sharing. Gave Leonard some green paper under Les Homan's wing in that exact spot 7 years ago as a senior in high school in exchange for a set of plans. Called him a couple years ago as I had a couple questions and to thank him for an enjoyable airplane to build and fly. Have a spry 22 hrs on my airframe now and hopefully many more. The article nailed it on the head, I was (still am) a young buck and the legal eagle was the affordable pathway to the grassroots/tailwheel flying I wanted to pursue. As you could imagine tuition and airplane building don't mesh, unless it is a LE! :p Building a bearhawk now, and so glad I started with such a forgiving and enjoyable airplane from the first tack weld to the test flights.
