« on: December 31, 2025, 07:46:19 AM »
How many have used PayPal to purchase a redrive from Ace Aviation? One guy i know bought his with PayPal. I ask because John at Ace is wanting to me to do a direct bank transfer and i do not know how or feel comfortable doing that.. Who here has experience dealing with Ace?

Yep, thats what John told me do also. I do not use pay-pal  so it was with some issues we got it done.  I t did take about 3 months to get my re-drive  and then the belt which was white in color lasted 25 minutes then ripped in half.  Now I have been waiting another 3 months waiting for a replacement which they said they would provide.  We wait.
Alaska ,what a place to fly !

What method did you use for direct bank transfer if you don't mind my asking? This is foreign to me.

Seems to me that a direct bank transfer, (or electronic funds transfer), would require him to supply you with his bank routing numbers, AND his account numbers, in order to have your financial institution get the bucks to the right place.
That seems risky for both parties, if one of them is "bent".

Just my opine.....Roger

OK! About to give up on Ace Aviation redrives. There communication is horrible and they want to do a bank to bank transfer only. I am now looking at Bandit Airdrives. They sell a 27hp and 28 to 40hp redrive for briggs. I dont know there weights or if they can be used in the tractor configuration. I have reached out to them asking but no response yet. Anyone used one of these redrives for aviation particularly a briggs vanguard 23hp? If so what what would be the best ratio and prop combo for part 103? It comes in 1:68 or 1:9 reduction and they sell ultraprops with adapters to go with.
Check out there product page.   https://banditairdrives.com/reduction-drives/
