Elevator cable guard
« on: August 01, 2026, 10:25:32 AM »
The plans don’t mention a cable guard on the large pulley for the elevator. I’m wondering why not. Any ideas welcome.
Also, the largest pulley I could find is 2 1/2” rather than the specified 3”. Does anyone think that will cause problems?

Don't see how using a 2-1/2" pulley would make much difference. A cable guard is important IMO. Here is how two builders did it.
