I have something to add, which may be helpful to some builders. As a retired airline A&P, many of the big-boys I worked on had jackscrew adjustments for the horizontal stabilizer. not uncommon at all, however, this would be really unique on a homebuilt. On one project I finished, the elevator back-pressure was pretty stiff and I did nt want to add some complex elevator trim " thingy", or bendable tabs on the trailing edge. I eventually hinged the rear attach point, and used some machinist "fine-thread,allthread", and a pivoting threaded block on the front. Granted, this was like killing a fly with a 12 ga.,however............with some messin around(and the fact that I needed some W&B tailweight, it worked out great. Sidenote, however, flying wires, or supports have to be adjusting accordingly. Far simpler solutions exist for sure.............but we like to tinker, huh? This blows the "KISS" principle out-of-the-water, but does allow the fine tuning of flight characteristics. Obviously, we arent going non-stop from Dallas to the U.K., but the closer I get to "hands-off flying at cruise...........the better I like it. I think everybody searches for the "sweet-spot". Love this design!!!!!!
