After Thanksgiving Fly-out

Fly-out Friday, November 29, 2013.
T
O: LULU’s in Gulf Shores, AL
Time: Lunch -----try to be at the airport by 1100 local if possible.
Usually on or around Thanksgiving we start taking about a fly-out to someplace for lunch.
A lot of times people have off work but the family get together are over so it works out great to go flying.
In the past years these have been some well attended trips and a lot of fun to just go flying for the day.
EAA1189 chapter member Tim Higginbotham has done the grunt work this year in checking places that would be open and ready for a fly-in.
The decision was made to go to Lulu’s Restaurant in Gulf Shores, Al.
I have heard that the food is good there but have never been able to try it.
KJKA is is the airport that we plan to meet at. There are 2 FBO’s on the Field. Gulf Air Center
http://www.gulfaircenter.com/
and Ferguson
http://fergusonairservices.com/
Gulf Air Center has a “party bus” that will take us and Ferguson has a van and a suburban that they said are available. Both modes of transportation are available and all they want for payment is buy a little fuel or maybe tip the line guy.
I recommend just choosing whichever place you would like to go and find a way to the restaurant. It is only about 1 mile from the airport so multiple trips to and from the restaurant should not be a problem.
