Equipping Workshop for 2 Seater

I'm trying to figure out what tools I need to build my two seater.  I'm sure this list would work for either the CE or DE.  I'm going for CE should the plans ever get released.

I have my welding setup already and we should leave that to one of the many threads debating torches and acetylene vs tig.  I've underlined things I'm not sure about/need help.  I'm also sure I'm missing something.

Re: some sort of grinder to notch tubes.

I used a bench mounted grinder with grinding wheel corners radiused to grind the joints.

Later, I fastened a 4" hand held angle grinder to the bench and found it useful for a lot of the notches.  It was good for deep notches and detailed fit-ups.

You have a good list started, but you'll probably add more as you go.

Clamping to tubing - most of my clamping of the tubing when working with the jigging was done with wood blocks and drywall screws...  I found 12 or 14 - 2 inch blocks cut from a 1x2 board worked well.. Also found that 6 or 8  - 3 or 4 inch pieces of 1x2 was good for bridging over the tubing at the jib blocks when needed.  You can get a couple of the 8 foot 1x2's cheap at the aviation dept of Home Depot or Lowes.  Pre-cut some of the 2 inch and 3 inch pieces and pre-drill holes just big enough for some 2 to 2.5 inch dry wall screws to fit through.  PreDrilling 1 hole in shorter pieces and 2 holes in the longer 3 inch pieces help will keep the wood from splitting easily when you attach the blocks to the build table.  Hope this helps.
