spar help
« on: May 18, 2015, 03:19:25 PM »
Hey guys,  I have my spar done and now getting ready to put the wing attach steel fittings on after I put the hard wood filler in and the plywood,  my question is I have the intercostles in on the spar,  that first intercostle is right where the block of wood should be,  do I fill in, in between the first two verticals with hard wood?  is that one vertical not supposed to be there, maybe that part is to be hollow??

Yours looks much nicer than mine. But mine was just for practice out of Home Depot wood. We are going to load test it. Just finally got spruce today.

You show the strut fitting as 3 pieces of wood. Then in the later picture where it says "infill fitted" it looks like it's one piece.  Did you use 3 pieces or make it out of one?
