Thanks John, I finally got the spools for the engine mount made. Our local EAA chapter 723 has a lathe manufactured around 1900. One of those huge iron monsters with a huge over head flat belt drive, a four jaw chuck and no index markings that tell you how much you have moved the cutter. Every cut must be eye balled and measured with calipers or micrometer. What a job. It took me three days of steady work to make eight pair of steel and aluminum engine mount spools. I made an extra set just because I had the material and figured that I would mess one or two up in the process.
