3 and 4cylender Geo engines.

Anyone ever used a Geo engine before? I talked with a guy some years ago that had the 4 cyl. on a CH-701. He said it was comparable to a Rotax 912 and the 3 cyl. models were used on a lot of smaller ultralights and light sport aircraft. CGS Hawks, etc. Raven Redrives, if they're still in business has complete engines or you can buy the instruction CD on how to convert one. Seems like a good fit for a LE, DE or CE.

Dunno if they are still in business or not, but their web page is in pretty bad shape.  If you click anything, no pics and half the stuff is 404 error...

I heard he has retired and NO one took over, not 100% on that...but often the circumstance when web pages go amiss like that.  Used to always be at OSH, have not seen for a couple now.  Actually, I think with the shortage of GEO motors, I think he switched to something a bit larger near the end.

http://www.aeromomentum.com/  appear to be doing some good things but would be basically to much for much of the Eagle class craft.

I looked at Aeromomentum's web site.  Curiously they never mention what car engine they use, so I went looking...

Turns out it is a Suzuki car engine.  In another YouTube interview,  Mr. Kettering mentions that in 2015 Rotax sold their 50,000th engine.  I assume that was the 912 based type engines.  He said Suzuki sold 50,000 a month.

Fun fact:  Kettering is the Surname of the gentleman who invented the breaker points type ignition.  Perhaps this is where he gets his brain power.  :emoji_u1f62f:
